Content Editor | Events Producer (Arts)
Status: Open
We’re hiring someone who can think deep and write clear.
Crazy Peach supports misfit, critical, thought-driven artists through publishing, exhibitions, and community programs.
We need someone who can turn high-level thinking into public-facing content.
You know that feeling when you finally “get” a complicated concept and suddenly it clicks? That’s what we want to create for our readers.
What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on editorial and events role for someone who wants to contribute meaningfully to a growing arts organisation. You’ll work closely with our founder and trustee, helping turn ideas into strong public-facing content, well-run programmes, and clear internal systems
Content Creation (Weekly Basis)
• Write and edit Substack posts that feel smart but never pretentious; the kind people actually finish reading.
• Script YouTube videos with real storytelling rhythm. Aim to creating narratives that pull people in, rather than making academic lectures.
• Keep our editorial calendar moving.
Artist Interviews
• Conduct interviews with artists in ways that demonstrate real thinking, not rehearsed PR answers.
• Turn interviews into publishable pieces that showcase the spark of actual conversation.
Curatorial Work
• Help shape solo exhibitions: concept development, artist research, wall text that helps people understand the work.
• Build narratives that connect ideas to audiences without dumbing them down or drowning people in jargon.
The “Boring But Important” Layer
(someone’s got to love it)
• Fact-checking and making sure we cite things properly, because getting it right matters.
• Turn messy brainstorms into clean, actionable documents.
• Keep Notion updated, track deadlines, maintain version control.
Event Production
• Support salons, panels, and cocktail gatherings: manage guest lists, chase RSVPs, build the run-of-show.
• Take post-event notes so we actually learn and get better instead of repeating the same mistakes.
You Might Be Right for This If:
• You’re an original thinker who challenges things with evidence, not just hot takes and vibes.
• You can explain complicated ideas at a dinner without sounding like you’re reciting a Wikipedia page.
• You can interview artists in ways that showcase real thinking, not rehearsed PR answers; you know how to ask the right follow-up question.
• You’re culturally sensitive and emotionally intelligent when working with people; you can read a room and adjust.
• You ship on time, speak up early when you’re stuck, and keep your work organized (chaos is for the art, not the file structure).
Bonus Points:
• You have curational instincts or real exhibition experience.
• You’ve done journalism, long-form writing, or editorial work.
• You genuinely enjoy bringing structure to creative chaos.
• You love turning vague “wouldn’t it be cool if…” conversations into detailed project plans.
